Fidalgo DanceWorks is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dance school in Anacortes Washington. We have over 300 students in the disciplines of ballet, modern dance, jazz, tap and hip hop.

Fidalgo DanceWorks seeks a passionate, dynamic and experienced Director with a track record of success to raise the profile and resources of FDW. The successful candidate will have knowledge of:
Principles and practices of dance education and studio administration.
Management of nonprofit organizations including marketing and community relations.
Strategic planning principles and practices.
Processes for preparing and administering budgets.
Supervisory principles, practices and methods with a focus on leadership.
Dance production, choreography, scheduling, and house management.

The Director manages all day-to-day operations including establishing class development and syllabi, and maintaining the facility and equipment, recruiting and evaluating staff, and promoting FDW to the greater community. The position also includes teaching 10-12 hours per week.

The Richmond Academy of Dance, recognized for producing Canada's newest most exciting professionals is seeking a senior ballet instructor to join our faculty for the 2015 -2016 season.

The successful applicant will meet the following requirements:-

- have extensive experience teaching serious 12 - 18 year old dancers
- have in depth knowledge of the classical repertoire and be able to coach it in detail
- must have danced professionally in classical and contemporary repertoire
- holds a certificate from a reputable ballet organization - Vaganova background essential
- can choreograph for groups and solo work
- can prepare dancers for festivals and competitions locally and internationally
- has a strong command of the English language in order to communicate effectively with students and parents
- can work with the philosophy of nurturing each individual to achieve their personal best
