Very prestigious school in northern California is looking for a qualified ballet teacher for upper ballet divisions including pointe. Must have a very strong base in classical ballet with teaching experience. Position can start at 14-15 hours and move up. Pay rate will be commensurate with experience.

REQUIREMENTS:

Have experience teaching beginning to advanced ballet to students 6-18 years of age
BFA/MFA in dance OR combination of dance education and performance experience equivalent
Comfortable teaching up to 5 consecutive hours of Ballet
Experience in ballet, pointe, and strength and flexibility training. Contemporary, pilates or yoga a PLUS
Punctual, Organized, Responsible
Can balance lesson plan goals with an engaging class
Able to deliver clear instructions and expectations to students in a kind and encouraging manner
Comfortable interacting with parents of young dancers
Excited to create, collaborate, and set choreography on younger students
