Vie de Danse is a new dance academy in Longmont that caters to adult dancers. We are looking for someone awesome to join our team as a jazz and/or tap instructor. Preferably someone who is reliable, patient, communicative, and outgoing. Need someone for 2 hours/week to start, and maybe more down the road.

Our instructors can take any of our classes for free!

Classes will be held in-person in Longmont. We follow Boulder County guidance for COVID safety.

The emphasis of the center is Movement and secondary Children’s Art Camps. The Northfield location will house a yoga studio, dance performance space, additional studio space and a boutique for retail sale of dance wear and accessories. The studio will offer wellness programming in addition to the main focus of catering to children’s programming. Looking for: Dance Instructors of Your Soul’s Movement that has the motivation, vision and passion needed to create programming and get students in the door. We are hoping to find someone that is already involved in the greater Denver community and has a sense of ownership and pride in giving back to it.
Goal for Teachers: This is a collaborative studio with a focus on building technical dancers that may move forward professionally in their dance careers and will potentially participation in competition teams. It is important that our teachers are building their clientele to benefit the studio and their compensation simultaneously. Compensation: Compensation will be $20 - $25 per class with an opportunity to make additional commission by increase enrollment in your classes. The scale for additional compensation will be as follows:
0 – 10 Students Flat Hourly Rate
10-20 Student Additional $3 per student
(15) Students Depending on Space commission will be discussed
20- 30 Students Additional $5 per student

Seeking qualified ballet teachers for the 2018-2019 season. Openings available for ballet masters and mistresses to lead classes for male and female dancers. Season dates August 20, 2018, through June 8, 2019.

Requirements:
• Strong knowledge of Vaganova (Russian) syllabus
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in pedagogy
• Professional dancing experience
• Teaching experience.

Responsibilities:
• Teach ballet technique; pointe; character; pas de deux; classical repertoire; classical variations
• Male teachers to teach men’s classical variations and repertoire
• Serve as répétiteur for classical repertoire rehearsals
• Assist teaching and rehearsing neoclassical and contemporary repertoire

Ballroom & Beyond is now accepting applications for full-time male and female ballroom dance instructors to meet our growing student base. We are looking for experienced dancers who have a passion to learn and teach ballroom styles of dance if they are not familiar with them already. We are offering a monthly guarantee with the potential to compete professionally as well as with students.

Our founder, Jaki Brockman, is a renowned professional dancer in American Rhythm and American Smooth with over 30 years of experience in the industry. Her mission is to fiercely challenge people to lead more inspired lives with a powerful mindset and uninhibited movement. Our new instructors will be spirited, hard-working dancers with a positive attitude and a desire to help us carry out this mission!

Our studio is located in the elegant Cherry Creek district of Denver, just south of downtown. Candidates living outside the Denver Metro area must be willing to relocate if hired.

Essential Duties

• Teach group classes and private lessons in multiple styles of ballroom dance (including International, American and social styles)
• Dance or perform with students at showcases, competitions and other events the studio is hosting or participating in (some travel might be required for competitions, cruises or other events)
• Light studio maintenance (e.g. sweeping floor, cleaning mirrors as needed), customer service & sales

Minimum Skills & Qualifications

• Experienced dancer with 5 years training in one or more styles of dance (not exclusive to ballroom or Latin style dance)
• Experienced performer, comfortable being on a stage or in front of a crowd
• Enjoys working with others to achieve their goals
• Proficient in English
• Professional, respectful disposition
• Positive attitude
• Hard-working, intelligent and passionate about dance
• High school diploma or equivalent degree

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

• Skilled ballroom dancer with experience on the competitive circuit (open amateur, Pro/Am, or professional).
• Ballroom dance instruction
• DVIDA certification
