Staff must be 20 years old at the start of camp.

Candidates must have a strong dance background and experience teaching beginner through advanced dancers, as well as a variety of styles. Campers range in age from 7 to 17.

Dance instructors live onsite in a modern cabin with a co-staff member and 10-12 campers. Room & board (meals, laundry, etc.) are all included.

Company Pianist
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under minimal supervision, the Company Pianist provides piano accompaniment and musical guidance for rehearsals of ballet and company ballet class. The individual reports to the Music Director.

TYPICAL WORK ROUTINE INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO:
• Provides musical accompaniment for rehearsals. Attends dress rehearsal of assigned ballets.
• Prepares music for rehearsal. Studies and learns (using available audio or video materials) piano transcription of orchestral, chamber, concerto, operatic, choral scores as well as piano solo scores.
• Under supervision of conductor, consults with choreographers and rehearsal coaches regarding such musical aspects as tempo, phrasing, counting, cutting music, extending music via repeats or additional pieces.
• Records choreography in rehearsal scores.
• Serves as key liaison between choreographers/rehearsal coaches and music librarian and conductor.
• Selects music for and plays company ballet class.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned by supervisor.

Substantial experience playing piano for dancers.
• Play an average of 4-6 hours of scheduled rehearsal and class in addition to personal practice time.

• Demonstrate diplomacy and tact in all interactions.

Job Requirements: This person must have extensive dance experience and knowledge as well as a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a communications or dance centered major, but specific major is not required. This person will fulfill a number of roles within the company, including but not limited to: achieving a quarterly sales quota (selling events such as competitions, dance camps and conventions to dance studios and dance teams across the country), implementing strategic marketing efforts to promote Inferno, event planning and working at several events throughout the year, and completing daily administrative tasks in the office. This job also calls for travel throughout the year in order to teach choreography and to instruct at camps and conventions. This person must be willing to relocate close to Baltimore, MD where Inferno Dance is headquartered. Requirements for this position are a Bachelor’s degree and extensive experience in dancing and some experience in teaching dance and choreographing. As a small company, this position requires someone who is proactive, willing to work weekends and travel, and someone who is able to juggle multiple tasks and duties that the job will require.

This person must have experience in event planning as well as a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in event planning, business, communications or a similar field.
