The lady students here recently lost a great teacher and are left with the desire to learn more American Style and International Style dancing. Also, the staff needs someone who will take on a supportive role (someone they can look up to). We are looking for experienced Ballroom Dance teachers in the Cary NC area! We are primarily an American Style studio but are looking to expand into International Style as well. We also have a floor rent option for independent teachers.

We are a Ballroom Dance Studio located in Salt Box Village, and are looking to train and hire male and female full time instructors. We will be hosting a workshop for all candidates interested, then audition and hire the best and most qualified.

Training Details:
Candidates will receive free training in Ballroom dance styles like: Waltz, Foxtrot, and Tango. As well as, Latin styles like: Cha Cha, Rumba, Salsa, and more.
Candidates will also receive a working knowledge in basic studio sales, program information, as well as, dance history and theory, teaching structure and step break down.
Although the training is not paid, there is no charge for it, and even for those not hired, candidates will receive a FREE social dance education (valued at about $2500.00 if you were to pay for
the classes yourself).

Desirable Candidates:

No previous dance experience is required, however experience is a plus.

Would you like to be a part of the FIRST all-inclusive performing arts academy in Eastern North Carolina?

Washington Performing Arts (home of Le Moulin Rouge de Danse, Inc.), located 20 miles east of Greenville, is seeking instructors in the following areas:

Dance (3yrs – 12th grade):
Children’s Ballet (Ages 3 – 3rd grade)
Children’s Tap (Ages 3 – 3rd grade)
Children’s Jazz (Ages 3 – 3rd grade)
Rhythmics/Improvisation (Dance Discovery program for early learners aged 2-4 yrs.)

Instruction:
Our instructors are compensated on a percentage basis providing the ability to successfully continue their own studies and performance rehearsal schedules without interference. This model also offers our students the ability to gain knowledge from multiple sources.

Percentages are per student; therefore, the more you teach and the more students you teach, the more compensation is available. On average, teachers earn $30 per teaching hour (given a 10-student per class ratio) in dance and musical theatre classes.

Job Requirements:
• A minimum of 2 years of experience teaching young dancers in a studio or academy setting; experience teaching pre-school aged students required.
• Ability to verbally explain and physically demonstrate techniques and methods of dance movement using age-appropriate terminology and guidance
• Ability to develop and execute class plans to develop multiple dance proficiencies and skill levels
• Ability to prepare students to participate in an annual performance with age-appropriate choreography
• Professional communication with parents, fellow instructors, and director as required
• Work with faculty to organize performances and other events
• Attend faculty meetings, performances, and other events that may be organized during the season
• Be dependable and professional at all times
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite is an asset
