We are a Christian Dance Studio in Georgetown Texas. We are growing our dance program and need another teacher or two. It could be something as simple as being able to substitute, to teaching several classes a week. We could use teachers strong in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, hip hop, lyrical, modern, and musical theater.

Small start-up dance choreography and event planning business in need of a Part-Time Assistant Dance Choreographer.

We teach dance choreography to teens participating in Quinceañeras, Sweet Fifteens, Sweet Sixteens, Bah Mitzvahs, Cotillions and Debutantes in Austin, TX and the surrounding suburbs.

Must be willing to work well with teens and have some dance experience in any genre. Experience as a dance instructor or choreographer a HUGE plus but would train the right individual. The assistant dance choreographer will teach alongside lead choreographer as well as teach independently after training. Main studio located in South Austin, however, seeking an individual who will feel comfortable traveling to various rehearsal sites in Austin. Must be comfortable leading medium-sized groups of up to 14 teens as well as ability to communicate well with adult clients.

We expect someone interested in being part of a fun and youthful environment and to feel part of a growing business. This job would be great for a new dance school graduate or former cheer or gymnastics participant looking to continue working in creative movement. This individual would also be a brand ambassador representing the ideals of the company.

Assistant Dance Choreographer Duties Include :
Teaching private and group lessons
Attending Meetings
Choreography
Learning Studio Policy and Procedures
Attending and Participating in industry Conventions
Maintaining Brand Standards and Promote Business
Travel to and from client rehearsal site
Attend events in the evening (typically Saturdays)
light sweeping and dusting of dance studio
wiping down dance studio mirrors
receiving and make phone calls to and from clients
greeting incoming customers and answer questions
schedule and confirm appointments
contact field staff
distribute brochures
run errands (pick up lunch)
filing and organizing

Requirements:
Some Dance Experience
Must be at least 18 years of age
Sundays 1:30 pm -6:30 pm & Some Saturday evenings up to 5 hours
Must have driver's license and access to a vehicle during work hours
Ability to speak Basic Spanish a Plus
Choreography experience a Plus
